What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most PPO dental insurance plans, including Aetna, Ameritas, Assurant, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Delta Dental, Geha, Guardian, Humana, MetLife, Principal Life, and United Concordia, as well as many smaller PPO plans not listed. Please note we do not accept HMO or DMO plans.

Do you accept patients without insurance?

Yes! For patients without insurance, our Dental Savers Plan is $94 annually for an individual membership or $188 for an entire family, saving you 30-50% or more on dental treatment fees.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

We've partnered with CareCredit and Sunbit to make financing easy! Sunbit lets you split payments over 6 to 72 months and never performs a hard credit check.

Do you see children / are you a family practice?

Yes, Silver Sage Family Dentistry welcomes pediatric patients and provides comprehensive family dental care — we treat patients of all ages, and our office even has a children's play area.

Do you treat patients with dental anxiety, and what sedation options are there?

Yes, Silver Sage Family Dentistry understands that dental anxiety is common and offers nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") to help patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visits. It's ideal for mild to moderate anxiety and wears off quickly, so you can drive home afterward.

What should I expect at my first visit?

During your first dental appointment at Silver Sage Family Dentistry, you can expect a brief initial exam by the dentist followed by a full dental exam and professional cleaning with a hygienist, including X-rays, an oral cancer screening, an evaluation for gum disease and decay, and a review of any existing restorations. The dentist exam appointment usually takes about one hour.

We follow strict infection control and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients.

What dental services do you offer?

We offer dental exams and X-rays, teeth cleanings, dental sealants, oral cancer screenings, sedation dentistry, emergency services, porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, dentures, fillings, root canals, orthodontics including Invisalign and clear aligners, tooth and wisdom tooth extractions, periodontics, and more.

Are your dentists specialists, and in what?

Our dentist, Dr. Lauren Peterson, is a general dentist who earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating with Higher Honors and Distinction in Dental Education.
